Metra’s Revenue Accounting System is a complex, high-volume transactional system including Point-of-Sale, Order Management, Inventory, and Accounting modules, along with high-volume credit card and bank statement reconciliation functions. More than 18,500 daily transactions occur through a variety of sales channels with nearly 6,500 daily reconciliations. The supporting transaction database adds 50GB each month. This massive infrastructure consists of over 50 Dell Servers, tape libraries, and more than 30 point-of-sale terminals spread across Chicagoland.
Metra needed a qualified team to maintain this complex system with minimal downtime. It sought a partner who could capably maintain its current system, while simultaneously offering strategic direction for their technology initiatives.
