President and CEO
Mr. Kumar is the founder and president of AST Corporation. He oversees strategic planning, marketing, and business development efforts, and sets the bar in our practice for exemplary client service, ethics, and teamwork. Prior to establishing AST in 1995, Mr. Kumar was a Principal Consultant at Oracle Corporation and a Systems Analyst at Tata Engineering.
Mr. Kumar brings over 25 years of information technology and project management experience in the ERP industry and is the guiding force behind our excellent customer relations. He is responsible for establishing key account relationships and assisting with project management and execution across the Oracle product spectrum. He is active in trade circles, has delivered many presentations, and has moderated discussion panels at OAUG and other conferences.
In his work with the Oracle Applications Development team, Mr. Kumar was instrumental in achieving certification from the General Services Administration (GSA) of the United States Government for R10 of the Oracle Government Applications. As a key member of Oracle Corporation's Vertical Applications group, Mr. Kumar helped to develop new functionality in R10, including budgetary control and FSG features. He worked with Oracle Government Services in implementing projects for large Oracle customers, including Fermilab, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Bechtel.
Mr. Kumar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, India.
Chief Financial Officer and Executive VP
Mr. Zechariah is responsible for AST's financial performance and service delivery. Prior to joining AST, Mr. Zechariah was a senior member of Oracle's Applications Consulting practice in the North Central region and a Senior Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services.
He brings over 25 years of industry experience in operations, project management, and ERP implementations in the service, government, manufacturing, and insurance sectors. He has served in various capacities throughout his career, including account and practice management, service delivery leadership, application solution architect, and as a functional implementer. He continues to play a key role in customer relationships and service delivery for AST. Mr. Zechariah holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bombay (VJTI), India.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Catalano is responsible for managing strategic named accounts, commercial business growth, growth of our Managed Services practice, and recruiting. He has extensive experience in professional services and management, including more than 25 years of leading service companies in the Oracle space.
Mr. Catalano has extensive experience leading companies into unexplored territory toward revenue-generating opportunities and cost saving automation. Prior to joining AST, Mr. Catalano served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Rolta (formally TUSC).Mr. Catalano is a contributing author to Oracle PL/SQL Tips and Techniques, Oracle Performance Tuning Tips and Techniques, and Oracle Profit Magazine. Mr. Catalano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Ms. Ryerson leads AST's business development and strategic business alliance efforts. She joined AST after 15 successful years at Oracle and has extensive experience in public sector information technology business development and sales. Ms. Ryerson has worked in the Federal, U.S. State & Local, and Canadian public sector markets.
Ms. Ryerson has over 25 years of experience in information technology business development and sales. She has served in various capacities throughout her career, including project management, software solution development and presentation, and sales management.
Ms. Ryerson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from James Madison University.
Senior Vice President, Business Intelligence
Mr. Vranicar leads AST's Business Intelligence practice and plays a key role in strategic growth initiatives, including Big Data. He started his career with Oracle Corporation in 1986. Mr. Vranicar subsequently founded and led the BI consulting firm, Piocon Technologies, which was ultimately sold to Rolta.
Mr. Vranicar has more than 29 years of experience in the Oracle and BI consulting arena. He has served in various roles throughout his career, including President and Executive VP of Rolta Americas, and CEO of Piocon. He currently serves as a board member of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG).
Mr. Vranicar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Beach is responsible for all Human Resources functions at AST. She has been instrumental in establishing a corporate culture that has resulted in AST's industry-leading employee satisfaction and retention levels. Prior to joining AST, Ms. Beach held leadership positions at DARC Corporation and The Environments Group.
In addition to more than 20 years of HR-related management and leadership experience, Ms. Beach is an Oracle University Certified CRM instructor, with functional, hands-on knowledge of Oracle technologies and organizational change management.
Ms. Beach served as the Manager of Human Resources at DARC Corporation She was also the Manager of Human Resources and Training at The Environments Group, where she established its Corporate University. She is active with the Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG), currently serving on the Education Committee and Collaborate Agenda Committee.
Ms. Beach holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources from the Loyola University Chicago's Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola University Chicago's School of Business
Vice President, Operations
Mr. Doyle is responsible for the continual process improvement of AST's daily operations and consulting services. He ensures the quality of deliverables by providing executive management, oversight on client engagements, and risk mitigation strategies. Mr. Doyle previously served as a Project Manager and Principal Functional Consultant at Whittman-Hart.
Mr. Doyle has more than 20 years of ERP and industry experience, including project management, functional analysis, packaged software evaluation, assessment, configuration, support, training delivery, and business process reengineering. He has also served in many accounting roles as an Assistant Controller, Cost Accountant, and Public Accountant for firms such as Bell & Howell, General Binding Corporation, and Bronswick Reicin Pollack Ltd.
Mr. Doyle holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola University's Graduate School of Business, Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Ms. Sider oversees projects, both internal and external, which promote communications between AST employees, partners, and customers. Ms. Sider previously worked as a Practice Director for DARC Corporation, leading its change management and education services division, DARC Academy.
Ms. Sider's responsibilities include traditional marketing channels, such as websites, collateral, social media, newsletters, and tradeshows. She has more than 20 years of experience managing and directing projects, ranging from business process design to large-scale training programs. She is an arbiter of organizational change management and training solutions in the Oracle ecosystem.
Ms. Sider is active in the Oracle User Group community, currently serving as an OAUG Meetings & Conferences Chair, NCOAUG Board of Directors Chair-person, and as the Collaborate Conference Chair. Ms. Sider sits on the Board of Young Naperville Singers, a not-for-profit organization.
Ms. Sider holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
Vice President, ERP
Mr. Nettem leads a team of over 200 seasoned consultants in AST's ERP practice. He is responsible for growing and managing AST's ERP services, specifically in the area of Cloud ERP. He previously served as Director of ERP at Cook County and Director of Enterprise Financial Systems at Chicago Public Schools.
With more than 19 years of industry experience, Mr. Nettem is actively involved in the delivery, management, and quality assurance of AST's ERP projects. He has been immersed in Chicago public sector ERP projects for more than 15 years, and has worked closely with business users in defining and implementing technology strategies to meet or exceed their business objectives. His career includes 15 years in the public sector and K-12 industry sectors. He has a proven track record in leading successful implementations of Oracle E-Business Suite, OBIEE, Hyperion, document imaging and content management, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and database technologies.
Mr. Nettem holds a Master degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM.
Vice President, Middleware
Mr. Kumar oversees the delivery, management, and quality assurance for AST's Middleware practice. He is responsible for sales support and program governance for large programs, and works as a solution architect on enterprise projects. Mr. Kumar previously worked at Wipro Technologies as a Program Manager.
With more than 15 years of experience in Oracle Middleware technologies, Mr. Kumar's experience includes management of global IT projects for Fortune 100 companies, driving and motivating a global team to meet critical business objectives. He is an Oracle Certified SOA consultant and Oracle (Sun) Certified Enterprise Architect, with a focus in architecture and design, consulting, implementation and delivery, project management, and planning of enterprise applications deployment.
Mr. Kumar holds a Bachelor of Production Engineering and Management degree from the National Institute of Technology in Jamshedpur, India.
Vice President, CX
Mr. Ganguly manages AST's CRM practice and is responsible for building competencies around the Oracle Cloud Customer Experience Suite. Prior to joining AST, Mr. Ganguly served as a Practice Director at Oracle Corporation, as well as held leadership positions for other large consulting and software firms, such as Sybase, Siebel Systems, and Accenture.
Mr. Ganguly has more than 14 years of experience in Oracle consulting, technical architecture, project management, practice management, and competency-building. He has more than 22 years of experience creating enterprise-wide business and technology solutions, including the delivery of multi-million dollar global systems for a wide range of Fortune 100 companies, such as BellSouth, Bank of America, and Putnam Investment.
Mr. Ganguly holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, India.
EVP, Commercial Business Head
Mr. Patel manages Serene-AST's CRM and SaaS consulting practices, alliances, pre-sales, and product management groups. Prior to joining Serene Corporation, Mr. Patel served with large global consulting firms, including Deloitte Consulting and Fujitsu Consulting.
Mr. Patel has more than 16 years of experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and consulting, helping clients design and deliver successful CRM initiatives. He has extensive experience across multiple industries, including High-Tech, Financial Services, Telecom, Media, and Pharma/Bio-Tech. Mr. Patel was instrumental in growing Serene into a $30M business with an outstanding industry reputation.
Mr. Patel has a Bachelor degree in Engineering from Pune University in Pune, India, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Mumbai's NM Institute of Management Studies.
EVP, Solutions and Presales
Mr. Kapadia leads Serene-AST's delivery of innovative cloud technology solutions and is responsible for key client relationships, business development, and setting the strategic direction for Serene, an AST Corporation. Prior to founding Serene Corporation, held leadership roles with Ernst & Young, Siemens, and First American Bank.
Mr. Kapadia has more than 16 years of experience in the strategy, architecture, and project management of customer experience solutions. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and works closely with strategic clients and partners.
Mr. Kapadia has a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications from TSEC, Mumbai University, in Mumbai, India.
SVP, Strategic Operations
Mr. Saini is responsible for managing Serene-AST's off-shore delivery and back-office operations. He has been instrumental in establishing an effective off-shore model that complements Serene's corporate culture, while facilitating service excellence. Mr. Saini was previously employed as a Senior Consultant at IGATE.
Mr. Saini has more than 16 years of experience in the software industry, including design & development, managing operations, and leading global expansion for Serene. He has significant experience in the CRM field, with particular industry emphasis on Media, Telecommunications and Hi-Tech.
Mr. Saini has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, India.
Vice President, EPM
Mr. Callahan oversees AST's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice. He is actively involved in the delivery, management, and quality assurance of AST's EPM projects. Prior to joining AST, Mr. Callahan was employed by the BI, Data Warehouse, and EPM practices at AmberLeaf and TUSC.
Mr. Callahan designed a solution for an AST customer which was later awarded the North America Oracle Partner Network Partner Solution of the Year Award.
Mr. Callahan has more than 15 years of experience with information technology strategy, architecting, development, and project management. He also serves as the product manager for ASTRA BI, an AST proprietary analytics tool for Transit and Airports.
Mr. Callahan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL.
Vice President, Managed Services
Mr. Ganguly is responsible for managing next-generation growth of the Managed Services practice at AST. He oversees all aspects of delivery, methodology, and strategic direction for this team. Mr. Ganguly previously held leadership positions at Cognizant, PWC, IBM, and Deloitte Consulting, which included multi-million-dollar portfolios and a substantial client base.
Mr. Ganguly has more than 20 years of experience in information technology management, including project delivery, strategic consulting, and industry solution development. He has experience across multiple industry sectors, such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, Communications, and Media & Entertainment.
Mr. Ganguly holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategy & International Finance from Leicester Business School, UK.
