I really want to join the AST team; how can I get hired?
AST seeks talented individuals with a broad range of interests. Most new hires have undergraduate or graduate degrees, or significant experience working with Oracle products. We also seek highly motivated, creative individuals who are eager to develop innovative solutions for our clients. Great AST candidates are comfortable with and have experience working in a team environment. All AST projects are highly collaborative, with project teams that are typically made up of AST employees, clients, and partners. As part of our due diligence during the interview process, we will spend time to get to know you, understand your professional goals, and provide opportunities to learn more about our corporate culture and professional development environment.
What is typical of the interview process at AST?
AST's Talent Acquisition Team will coordinate the interview and offer process. Typically, the first interview is a 'get to know you' session, which is conducted over the phone. You will also take online tests prior to subsequent interviews with various AST employees and managers. These interviews may also be conducted over the phone and/or Skype, when appropriate. Once the Talent Acquisition Team determines that your candidacy is a strong fit, you will be invited for a final interview with AST's Executive Team.
How long is the interview process?
We want to ensure that all prospective employees are not only a good fit for us, but that AST is a good fit for them. Therefore, due diligence in the interview process is important. The length of time from first contact to official offer letter may vary. On average, the process takes 2 to 3 weeks.
Does AST require years of Oracle consulting experiences?

We typically require our consultants to have 2 to 3 years of Oracle-related experience, but we also value the talents of those who demonstrate the ability to be creative, entrepreneurial, and flexible in developing solutions for our customers. How often will I be traveling to client sites?
AST serves clients across North America, and travel is a requirement for most consulting positions. However, in order to minimize costs to our clients and ease the impact on our employees' personal and family lives, we try to place consultants on projects that are as close to their home bases as possible. Work weeks for consultants traveling to client sites are typically Monday-Thursday, giving our employees ample time to travel home over the weekend.
What is AST's dress code?
We are business casual at all AST offices; however, we follow the client's dress code while at their sites.
